Stick it to the man
I just posted an article to my sorely-neglected personal blog about credit monitoring services, and how it's really not necessary to pay for those services, given your rights under FACTA. Just trying to save people $10-$50 per month, and maybe interfere with the ability of credit bureaus to profit from their shoddy data handling practices.

I'd really love everyone to spend a few quick dollars and buy a cross-cut shredder. While checking your credit regularly is important, eliminating all sources of access to your private information is really easy. My shredder sits near my computer and I shred pretty much everything that comes through the house with any personal information on it.
